In loving memory - Maureen Thomas 1941-2007

by Teri_R @ 2007-04-23 - 22:54:05

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was,
let it be spoken without effect,
without the trace of a shaddow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was;
there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval,
somewhere very near, just round the corner.
And all is well.

Congratulations on your choice of such an appropriate world-wide message.

When we consider some of the blogs that have been posted from time to time, we hope that as many bloggers as possible read your important message and take time to earnestly think about the wise words.

I have copied and pasted it in my very special folder.

Beautiful words

In loving memory of my aunt Maureen who for me is intrinsic in memories of fun afternoons playing with my cousins, trips to the park, shopping for school clothes, and for always having a freezer full of ice cream!
Funny how it's the little things that you remember most strongly.

Rest in Peace
You will be missed very much by so many people, and live on in our memories. I'm glad you fought for your time to say goodbye
